本机主要适用于切割天然橡胶、合成橡胶及其它塑性材料，尤其适合于安装在密炼机旁，切割小块胶料用。本机主要有切胶刀、机架、工作油缸、底座、辅助工作台及液压系统、电气系统等部分组成，切胶刀下面的底座上装有尼龙垫板，以保护切胶刀的刀刃。切生胶时，用人工将胶料放在切胶刀的下方，然后按下启动按钮，则切胶刀在活塞杆的带动下沿机架上的滑道落下将胶料切开。机架上装有上下两个限位开关，以控制换向阀改变切胶刀的运动方向，同时，也可保护活塞缸缸盖。
